A day of museums
Today was a day of museums. I woke up early, and decided to go to the Ferragamo Museum (I was supposed to go with my Fashion and Marketing class, but I am not going to be there because I will be en route tomorrow for Copenhagen :)!!). Anyways, so I decided to go on my own, which was really nice because I got to take my time and watch all the cool videos of Ferragamo make shoes etc.... It is really amazing to see how meticulously each shoe is made. Back then, each shoe was so customized, and now its all mass produced, what a shame :(. But really, watching Ferragamo himself make the shoes was mesmerizing! and of course made me want to buy shoes shoes shoes! hahaha.
just taking pictures as i walk :)
After that museum, I headed over to the Uffizi for the second time, I just had to see the Birth of Venus again :) but really, i could spend dayssss in that museum, its so magical. I also went to the terrace and saw a great view of the duomo and then also another good view of the Point Vecchio.
After that, I met up with Kate Snyder! a kappa alum who is doing grad school in London and was visiting Florence with her roomie... so i quickly took them to gustos panino (of course) and then we went to the Academia to see David, and he is massive!! it was amazing to be in front of such a famous sculpture, i died hahah... i still remember studying him during art history class at berkeley, and now i get to see it, that is the best part of studying abroad really :)
