Today the program organized a optional program to this old etruscan town overlooking Florence called Fiesole. Just a few of my friends went, but it was definitely worth it! We took a public bus up there, and then we had group tours of this outside museum, where they had a preserved old etruscan theater, dating back to who knows when! (literally everything was SO old, way before christ too!), and the outside theater is still in use to this day! We also saw the remains of the old temple, and then inside the museum more remains of the village etc. After we hiked up to the most amazing view of Florence, and it was so hot! the sun was beating down on us (something that i havent had for while :) ) We took some awesome pictures, and then went inside an old church, i love churches :) and i cannot tell you how many i have seen already hahaha.
After that we trekked for like 30 min all the way down this long windy hill until we finally made it to our restaurant for lunch, and oh was it soooooo worth it! haha they just kept bringing out plates and plates of bruschetta, eggs, toasts, quiches, meats, cheeses, sandwiches, lasagna, you name it! major major food coma, and of course we had some cheese cake for desert too hahahah.... it was such a fun and relaxing day, and gorgeous! i just love how there is SO much history here!
